This is an ident for Sky Sports at Christmas. It starts by showing the Sky logo in the sky with clouds behind and snowflakes slowly falling, the sky logo was in the middle and covered most of the screen, the sky logo then fades out of the screen. The camera then flies through the sky to make it feel like you are flying with the snowflakes blowing into your face. And it goes at quite a fast speed right over the to of houses and makes it feel like you might hit them. It then goes into a football pitch which is covered in snow and has snowmen as the players, it shows this because it is Christmas and it tries to get you excited for Christmas even though it would never happen in real life. It goes to a football pitch because it is for Sky Sports so the ident needs to relate to the programmes on the channel and football is a sport that Sky Sports regularly show. One of the snowmen then puts a football down on the penalty spot and instead of stepping backwards for the run it hops, jumps backwards because snowmen don't have legs. The camera then switches to the snowman that is in goal who is looking really and angrily at the other snowman and really focusing. The snowman then hops forward and takes the penalty and kicks the ball straight at the other snowman and it just makes a round hole in him because obviously a football would go through snow. Seasons greetings then comes up on the screen, this is Sky wishing all their customers a happy christmas. This is a BBC 1 ident about football which they show before Match Of The Day (a football programme). This is a good idea because the people that are watching the channel at the time will be interested in football so they will like this ident. The ident starts off by showing somebody doing kick ups, when this happens the camera is quite zoomed in and you can only see the legs of the person doing kick ups it then zooms out to show lots of people doing kick ups and other skills. Then once the players finish doing kick ups they all stand in a circle on the centre circle in the middle of a football pitch and all kick the ball into the middle and have it bounce back then kick it again and keep repeating that and the BBC One logo appears in the middle, then the players continue to kick the ball while the BBC One logo is in the middle and a BBC presenter is talking over the top to tell the audience what is coming up next. At the beginning of this ident it shows the camera going through the crowd and there are lots of people that are different races and gender which represents equality and unity within sport. All the fans wave around bits of coloured paper that come together to make a circle of different colours which looks good because it is colourful and the circle represents the 'O' in BBC One, also the main colour that the crowd hold up is red which represents the corporate identity of BBC One's channel. BBC One show this ident before Match Of The Day because it represents football well, at football matches the crowd are always show passion and enthusiasm for their team and this is reflected in the crowd throughout the ident.
